Two-factor authentication (2FA)

A method of providing an additional level of security when logging into a system. It requires not only the provision of credentials (usually a username and password), but also an additional verification factor. This additional factor could be something the user knows (a password), something they have (a device or key), or something they are a biological attribute (fingerprint, voice, etc.). ). Two-factor authentication enhances security because even if an attacker knows the credentials, they will still need additional information or a device to successfully log in. This method increases the level of protection against unauthorized access and strengthens the security of user accounts and data.
