Tor (The Onion Router)
Software and network that provides anonymous and private access to the Internet. The basic principle of Tor is that it routes traffic through multiple nodes known as onion nodes. This creates a layered structure similar to an onion, hence the name Onion Router. Each node encrypts information before transmitting it, and then decrypts it at the next node, creating a chain of encrypted connections. This process ensures data anonymity and security because network traffic observers cannot easily trace and identify the source and recipient of the data. Tor is an important tool for online privacy and security, allowing users to bypass censorship and analysis of Internet activity.
