Gas

A fee charged for transferring USDT cryptocurrency (Tronix token) between network participants. Since USDT is based on the Tron blockchain, each USDT transaction requires the execution of a smart contract. Smart contracts are programs that run on the blockchain and describe the logic of a transaction. When executing a smart contract, the concept of “gas” is used - this is a resource that is paid in the TRX cryptocurrency (also based on the Tron blockchain) for performing operations. Gas is necessary to ensure the operation of smart contracts and transactions on the blockchain. Users conducting USDT transactions must pay a fee in the form of gas from the linked address in TRX. This fee covers the cost of computing resources and ensures the correct functioning of the Tron network when executing smart contracts to process USDT transactions.
