Merchant

A business organization or person that provides goods or services and accepts payments from customers. The merchant uses a variety of payment methods such as credit and debit cards, electronic payments and others to process payments from its customers. They can integrate payment gateways and systems to provide a convenient and secure way to accept payments, and typically partner with banks, payment processors and other financial institutions to process transactions.
